Does anyone know if there is any truth in this?
My old man said to me Ryan Captns are monitored on whom is using the most fuel, and the pilot that consumes the most gets fired each month!
Surely this is a wind up? I ask the question though

Actually I believe the offender is publicly whipped in the terminal at Stansted.

Non of the above is true.
The bottom 20 percent on the list are sent a letter from their Base Captain.
If they appear in this bracket for two consecutive months, they are required to operate on one engine for a month, until they have saved the extra fuel they burned previously.

I heard they will be stripped off their uniforms to safe weight in order to compensate for their extra fuel.
