The General Aviation Safety Council , in conjunction with City Airport and NATS , with the kind support of the Guild of Air Traffic Officers, invite pilots and other members of the General Aviation Community to a Safety Evening to be held at Salford City Stadium (right next to City Airport (Barton)) at 19:00 on Thursday 31st October
The event will include :
Presentations on flight safety in general from GASCo
Presentation from NATS Manchester Air Traffic Control
Prize Draw
The opportunity for PPL holders to gain the Level 6 language endorsement from an RT examiner.
Similar events have proven extremely popular in the past, therefore the stadium offers far greater capacity together with professional audio-visual equipment.
Instructors, pilots and student pilots are strongly encouraged to attend, however the event is open to anyone with an interest in flight safety - the entry fee is £2 on the door, with proceeds being donated to the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
For pilots wishing to fly in to the event, City Airport are pleased to offer visiting pilots a free landing and one night’s overnight parking/hangarage (subject to availability – PPR required, please see website.
