Can somone out there tell me to what extent the requirements and regulations for flying in RVSM airspace differ between EUR, NAT, North American and Pacific?

Hi TheMagus,

Hope these sites help:
http://users.ev1.net/~jwwda50/RVSM-RNP.htm

and a really good one I think is

http://www.faa.gov/ats/ato/rvsm1.htm

and our site in Europe

http://www.eur-rvsm.com

Its well worth remembering to limit your climb and descent as you reach your assigned Flight Level to about 750 fpm. Works for me to reduce TCAS alerts etc

Hogg.

Thanks a lot, Hogg. :) I'll have a look at them.

I followed the european one quite closely in the months preceeding the implementation of RVSM in Europe.

The reason I'm asking is that I have helped a number of swedish operators in gaining approval for RVSM and the authorities insist on the OM differentiating between EUR-RVSM and NAT-RVSM.
If the requirements are basically the same I see no reason to make the Operations Manual more complex than necessary.

NAT-MNPS is another matter, I know that brings further requirements...
