AOPA Event Day - IWM Duxford : Saturday 14th September 2013

11:15 - 12:30 Morning Session:
· Douglas Cairns will give an inspirational presentation on “Flying with Diabetes” and the use of effective lobbying. Douglas’ lobbying helped the recent agreement between the CAA and EASA enabling the CAA to continue issuing medicals for commercial and full private flying for pilots with insulin treated diabetes
· George Done, Chairman AOPA UK, will present the 2013 AOPA Awards
12:30 - 13:45 Buffet Lunch in the Conference Suite
13:45 to 15:45 Afternoon Session:
· Phil Roberts, CAA Assistant Director Airspace Policy, will present on “Airspace Infringements and how to reduce them”
· Nick Wilcock, AOPA Instructor Committee and IAOPA, will bring you up to date on “The latest state of €urocratic pilot licensing issues”
· Martin Robinson, CEO AOPA UK and Senior VP IAOPA Europe; Transition of Registered Training Facilities (RTFs) to Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) - “Open Q and A session”
