The Aeroprofessional agency are actively looking for ATR captains for Aer Arran.

I've seen the terms of the offer....it's not brilliant but it's better than Eurolot or OLT Express!

As far as I know there has until now been no official announcement that Darwin will re-fleet with ATR.

I have however encountered informed rumours suggesting this to be true.

Presumably they can source ATRs quite easily from Nordic Aviation Capital who already provide some Saabs, but finding experienced crew may be more difficult, so this may be a "water-testing" exercise to see what volume of applications they get.

Hope they do not make the same mistake as Intersky who hired hardly any experienced ATR pilots and regularly ended up AOG due to minor failures as a result.

I would think PPJN is a good guide to terms on offer SSS but I cannot confirm that.

With regards to Darwin's possible ATR fleet, does this mean that they are re-equipping with ATRs, or are they going to use the ATRs alongside the Saab 2000?

Re Darwin... Does anyone know if the ATR jobs are going to be contract or perm?

Also any future routes into Etihad mainline a possibility or likely to be blocked?

Iīd lke to know if they accept non-European pilots with permanent residency in a European country and JAA licenses and certificates. I have 500 TT and 250 on ATRīs. This seems to be a recurrent theme here in Europe. Lots of companies will not accept non-Europeans, even though I have a right to work and live in Europe.

I also sent my documents to Darwin, still no answer whatsoever, just waiting.

I thought they're planning to grab some new -600, but maybe they need to star with the -500 before getting new ones.

Darwin Etihad regional has ordered 6 ATR72-500 on lease.

But darwin is not a good airline to work for, salary is crap, especially if you live in switzerland. You also have to pay to apply I think, which tells a lot about what to expect!!

jammedstab,

who called you? Garuda?

Some agency called. It was in the Maldives so I assume that it was some local carrier. I am not current on type anymore so I didn't ask what carrier.

My experience with these agencies is that they sometimes don't initially like to say which company it is for. I had one ATR job offer where they would not say what company. They only kept asking if I had any restrictions in countries I was willing to work. I just said no wars, no malaria. I finally figured out that it was in Bangladesh.

Maldives should be nicer although I think there has been some political instability lately.
