Hi guys, hope to be there giving a chat on Scottish Info along with the rest of the programme.....talking to the organisor today a poor response so far from the clubs invited. Only 7 aircraft responded so far compared with 50 last year!

FBW

As one of the committee for our local Flying Club I'd wonder whether the lack of people is due to invites being lost in the ether! I monitor our email account and haven't had any details through at all.

So maybe they could post an invite on a forum so that the news spreads further afield or allow you to pass on the details by PM.

I'll be attending this event as part of the Tayside Flying Club contingent.

Looking forward to your talk on Scottish Info FBW - regularly receive a great service from yourselves, so will be good to hear a bit more about what you do.

Hopefully there's a good turnout in the end, and nice weather on the day!

Is there an official 'thing' on a webpage anywhere?

No. I believe the info was in the form of invites sent to the Scottish and north of England flying clubs.

I did, I was simply wondering where the original publicity was.

Cats Five......as DO previously said I understand Leuchars targeted local clubs that interface with their airspace....it would seem though that some of the emails never reached their destination.

I'll check with them what clubs they emailed...

Looking forward to meeting you all, should you be going. Weather seems to be holding out for it and it will be a great day talking to Scot Info reps, Typ Pilots, and of course, all you good people flying in.

See you soon

Great informative and friendly day, plus surely the best BBQ of the summer so far.

Just need to get a few more flexwings along next time

Great to catch up with a few old friends and customers......also great to put faces to even more voices that use the Scottish Information service.......thanks to the folks at Leuchars for making it a great day, even the weather behaved but sadly not further south as it stopped the Hurricane getting up north and giving us a display.....many thanks to to the phantom chocolate biscuit donator.....it was appreciated but sadly I only noticed it behind the wiper arm of my hire care as I crossed the Kincardine bridge and was hit by a rain shower......sorry to the white Transit van behind me that took a hit on its windscreen :cool:

I enjoyed the Fly In, I found it a really interesting day, the BBQ really was first class! the NATS presentation wasn't bad either!

It was good to chat with you, I am the 'brummie' you spoke to with Mr. Haggis in the morning!

I have been using the scottish Flight Information service regularly since gaining my PPL in Scotland and I wondered if you can pick out my midlands accent from the other GA pilots you speak to? Did you recognise my tones during my flight to Isla last Monday?

An2ony.....I try my best to remember names and accents but its quite difficult when I meet so many nice folk during the flying club talks that I do. My Haggis a fine instructor, you won't go far wrong with him......maybe talk soon.
