I've been trying to find the differences between the IAE2527-A5 and the 2527E-A5, but haven't found anything not in the FCOM nor in the internet. What does the E stand for? Any highlights from the technical point of view? Thanks.

Its an enhanced version of the engine for the A320 providing additional take-off thrust at high altitude airports. No idea what the internal modifications, if any, are, it could just be the same engine with a software change and modified maintenance intervals etc.

I beg your pardon, guys, for bringing this thread up again.

Can't find any detail, what modification or setting in FADEC, or even in the engine makes the difference between an IAE V2527 and a V2527E.

All I got too is, that has to do with hot and high ops and possibly a higher thrust at T/O in that condition. But what does it mean in detail?

Thanks!

Why don't you send an email to the OEM?
