Hello to everyone on the forum. My name is Mark and I have moved to Brisbane from the UK to try and make a new life down under. Im currently looking for work as a AME avionics in the Brisbane area but finding it hard and would love some advice.
Quick review of my situation:
10 years RAF experience on C130 Hercules J/K
Trained as Electrical and converted to avionics
Completed all EASA B2 modules and require a year of part145 experience
Waiting on approval for Australian qualification (Cert IV Aeroskills avionics)
Currently on a working holiday visa and wanting work based sponsorship
(As some may have seen, oz is taking AME's of its skills list next month so I can't gain my own visa. Has to be worked sponsored)
I have read a lot about having security clearance but I'm not sure what level and where I would get this?
Thanks for reading and any help you can provide.
