Hi all,

Does anyone happen to know which revision of Airbus software changed the VDEV on PFD Altitude Tape from magenta donut to green dot? I've seen a mixture of magenta/green on EIS2 aircraft so I'm presuming this is a software revision? Or could it be a customer option?

Regards

I looked into this a while ago and it seems to be linked to a newer standard of DMC software - not sure what specific version it is though.

They changed from !.7 STD. Now !.8 has also come.

They call it Linear Deviation now, but has the same definition on the FCOM, available down to MDA. And its on our RNP AR planes.

Thanks. So we think this came in with Airbus STD 1.7 but the latest is now 1.8?

It is a "color coding" matter so to speak, for the Vdev deviation needed on the RNP AR approaches that some operators do in some parts of the world. This way, when you are monitoring your vertical deviation on a Baro V/NAV profile (this is not the correct terminology, but it is the vertical path on an RNP AR approach), your V/DEV is not displayed magenta, as a constraint would be, but rather green.

I think...
