The latest blurb from Flight International, advertising the forthcoming International Flight Safety Symposium in England:

Quote: John deLeeuw, Senior Manager Flight Safety, American Airlines and Captain Jussi Laaksonen, Head of Safety and Compliance, Flybe Finland will look at managing risk through harnessing proactive and harmonised strategies and ensuring clarity with end to end risk management

WTF does that corporate speak supposed to mean to the average Pprune reader? If that is a typical example of the type of psycho-babble to be expected at the conference then these type of meetings will lose all credibility.

He's thinking blue skies, out of the box, going forward.

Your post touched a raw nerve: I've spent the ast month trying to make sense of EU science funding instructions. Here's a website for light relief Corporate B.S. Generator (http://www.atrixnet.com/bs-generator.html)

It was probably written by a communications graduate working for the conference's Media Dept.

The pilots couldn't show they didn't understand, so approved it without comment.

Send it to Nigel Farage - am sure he would interpret the quote for a pint

= Understand what can go wrong and try to prevent that by communicating regularly with those who can affect it.
