This relates to a 737ng without RAT,

Our company procedure is that we leave the APU on from start to stop, What I want to know is what the procedure is if you loose the APU while in the ETOPs part of the flight. The manuals are not clear as to if you can continue or divert to nearest suitable A/P.

Thanks

Why would you divert? You still have two sources of AC power and the chances of losing another one must be insignificant.

Doesn't say anywhere as far as I know, and no it wouldn't really make sense to divert if you are already within the ETOPS segment, fairly unlikely that will happen anyway. If you say you keep it running the whole time I assume you start it before departure.. if in that case it wouldn't lets say start up, then you could not dispatch it to do a ETOPS flight.

In my outfit as far as the 737NG goes we start up the APU before EEP and shut it down at EXP.

From the 737NG CMP Part D: For 120- or 180-minute ETOPS operation. Diversion to an alternate airport is recommended when one single main bus power source remains.

My Airline, we don't use the APU at all during ETOPS operation.
