We landed at DFW yesterday in good weather conditions after normal flight. Just after what had seemed like a normal touch-down, the 747-400 still moving fast, began to rock back and forth rather violently. We were all rocked from side to side in our seats in a manner never before experienced, only held down by seat belts. Plane slowed slowly whilst we wondered if either wing tip would actually make contact with the ground.
One older gent behind us said 'That was no normal landing' to which a flight attendant sitting nearby said 'No it wasn't' I think many were shaken up by it.
Needless to say, nothing was ever said to explain what had happened.
Can anyone shed some light on what this might have been?
