Okay so I know that this happened a look time ago. Southwest Airlines is not going to fly the boeing 717 and their leasing them to delta all 88 of them. Now my question is are the airtran pilots going to delta or they training now on the 737 jets. Is delta going to provide there own pilots thanks

AirTran 717 drivers, right now, get to stay home and collect their full line pay. A lot of them (the majority), are in limbo - and they are not flying them, and they're not in a SW class either. They're not even current any longer (no bounces in last 90 days). gK has pretty much has made it clear he doesn't care to keep the a/c. Those AT pilots who are coming over to the SW side are also not coming over in their seniority order. It's a mixture of former 717 & 737 pilots, and whether former CA's or F/O's, they're initial hire trained, and sit in the right seat until Jan 2015, at which time they take their respective seats in the integrated seniority list (combined SW+AT), SOC.
