Planning a trip to South of France. Can anybody point me to where I can check out landing fees for light aircraft please? I have a feeling Cannes is reasonable but Nice is expensive. Thanks

There is a full price list somewhere on the Cannes airport website. It is very reasonable (cheaper than Shoreham) and an excellent GA destination. Fuel is not too expensive either (relatively speaking).

Nice is exactly the opposite and if you have to ask about costs then you certainly cannot afford it.

Cannes landing fees : http://www.cannes.aeroport.fr/REdevances/ACM%20REDEV%202008_BAT.pdf
under 2 metric tons (all prices incl VAT 19.6%) :
landing + park under 3 hours 12.94
landing + park for a day 25.88
extra park day (from 0h to 24h) : half the price 25.88 ie 12.94
No handling compulsory under 3,5 metric tons (but do not ask anything ... ie a van for luggage or for passagers, otherwise handling is owed).
Handling fee (under 2 metric tons) : 55.18 (+ add VAT)
Expect grass parking close to taxiway "Y".
Hope that helps.

Another vote for Cannes, it also has a cheap hotel on the airport..........just don't expect the restaurants in the old town to be so reasonably priced !

As far as light bizav goes, Nice is more reasonable than a lot of airports in the UK. I'm there now, and for a King Air with an MTOW of 4.6 tonnes the charges are as follows:

Handling - 225 euros (Aviapartner)
Slot Management - 15 euros per movement
Airport - 90.12 euros per day (fixed rate that covers landing and 24 hours parking)

No idea how much a GA type would be but I can ask later when I go back to the FBO

We do Cannes every summer in the RV6. Landing and parking for 10 days €130. Very reasonable.

Thanks guys. First time I've asked anything on Prune and I'm amazed. Most helpful. Cheers.:):):)

Very reasonable indeed, given that it would cost you almost €200 to park a car for 10 days in the long-term car park at Luton.

IS there any need to PPR for parking at Cannes? Am part of 5 aircraft that are planning to fly into Cannes at the very end of May for a couple of nights.

Ignore my question! I went straight to the horses mouth and they confirmed no PPR required after May 27.

Cannes very helpful and good value airport. Surprised how low those bizjet handling charges are in Nice. Cheaper than Manchester in a GA plane.
