Never been in this position before, but do flying instructors with examiner privilages, in the last 12 months need to have flown for one hour with an instructor to revalid licence, having done 600 hours instructing last 12 months.
Usually have flown with FI examiner, but now has fallen out of previous 12 months.

It is a requirement of the Class Rating and has nothing to do with any other qualifications. If you wish to revalidate SEP by experience, it must include an hour with an instructor or can be replaced with any type or class rating proficiency check.
