It's been a while since I last flew in there, but I've just been looking at Shoreham's web site - and cannot believe they're charging £47.50 landing fee for visiting aircraft over 1500kg (as most PA28s are).
There's also a £12 charge for each touch-and-go and go-around - which, for the latter, surely has safety implications?
I wonder if that pricing model is working for them?

I am no PA28 expert but I would have a good hard look at your W+B before you take off if your Cherokee weighs around 1500kg

Methinks someone has his lb mixed up with his kg.
(NB Fairoaks £18.60 up to 1500 kg incl VAT)

Yeah but on the upside Avgas will only be £2.05 a gallon, so it swings and roundabouts !!!
Sorry Jagdriver could not resist ;)

xj8driver, with respect you are probably getting too old to fly safely.

Oh dear, methinks you're right.. what a dipstick! :uhoh:
in mitigation (if there is any), all my work involves kg - and I generally get that right :)
Anyway, I'm glad I managed to make someone smile today..

Private Jet,
As your post counts is not much over 1 per month on average since you joined the site, perhaps you could increase the quality of overall posts by contributing more and helping to raise the quality yourself?
Just a thought...
