Hi all

Just a quick question, does anyone know how much it cost for a Airline to fly into LHR, I'm not talking about based Airlines like BA and VS but the likes of Emirates of Jet Airways who only have 2hr turnaround. Also what about the like of Qantas who fly into LHR in the morning and don't leave until late at night?

If there was any information would be helpful.

The landing fee for a chapter 4 (noise profile) aircraft (A330-A380 etc) ranges from £781.79 to £1563.58 during peak times and between £1954.48 to £3908.95 during super peak/night.

There is also an emission charge of £7.76 per kg of emission plus an air navigation charge of £78.58 plus £1.06 per metric tonne.

For a widebody aircraft parking is free for 90 minutes and then it is charged at £54.45 per 15 minutes.

Finally there is a departure charge of £28.30 per passenger for European destinations or £39.75 per passenger rest of world.

So that would explain as to why EY, QR, EK, SQ, CX all try and have 90 mins turnarounds. I bet it cost's Qantas/Soith African a fortune to land in the morning, park up for the day and fly at night! No wonder both airlines are struggling!
