At some airlines they hire junior guys with CPLs as Airline Training Instructors, whereby one has to sign a bond for 5 years. After that you have a pretty good chance of getting into the pilot pool and start "line flying."

Basically this position is a 5 year ground instructor position.
I know for sure NWA has it.

Do any other airlines have similar positions/agreements?
Is it a good option?
Has anyone been in such a position and progressed "up the ladder" this way?
