I asked this on another sub-forum but got no reples, so hopefully somehere here might be of help. Apologies if this is the wrong forum.

What software do the major airlines use to manage their aircraft and crews? For instance, you have aircraft at various maintence states and configurations with scheduled servicing due at various times; you have crews that have flight & duty limitations, currencies to be maintained and checks to be undertaken. People have unavailabilies for duty, need to take holidays, etc. You have your tasking, both regular and unscheduled, that needs aircraft and crews assigned, taking into account the aforementioned factors.

How do the major airlines tie all this in together? Is there a unified system / software, or do schedulers / ops have to manually factor all three areas (crew, aircraft, schedule) into one output?

Several airlines use software such as "AIMS" (Airline Information Management System)

What is AIMS (http://aims.aero/whatisaims.htm)

"Sabre" is also widely used.

Another option is Netline/Crew (https://www.lhsystems.com/solutions-services/airline-solutions-services/operations-solutions/netlinecrew.html) which is part of the Netline suite, formerly known as Lisline.

I think their software is developed based on the requirement of airline companies. I am not sure if there is any particular software for every company.
