Using linguistics technology the language the insurgents are speaking is Afghani not Arabic. Most probably a clip in Afghanistan, not Syria as you claim it :suspect:to be.

Iran Air bringing in something for their Syrian allies?

Luckely they seem to be aiming at the aircraft, not right of it, above its flightpath..

In the early 90s, when "civil unrest" (= open warfare) between warring Muslim factions was a fact of life in Karachi, we were under instruction to do a steep approach and not to descend below 3,000' (? - I think it was that) until clear of the built up area to avoid ground fire.

To show how much things have changed since those days, we were also directed by our company to have the interior lights on in the crew bus on the way to and from the airport (it was always in the middle of the night) so that both warring sides could see there were Western crew on the bus so that they wouldn't shoot at the bus.

How things have changed. Today, both bloody sides would shoot at the bus BECAUSE there were Western crew on board the bus.
