Hi everyone.

I'm hopefully going to be living and working in Toronto come November this year.

Would Canada be a good option to hour build?

I will have my EASA PPL by then, will I need to convert the licence?

I have no idea on what to do so as much info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,

Looks like the usual people aren't answering your question so I'll attempt. :)

I came to Canada a number of years ago with a JAA PPL. To convert to a TC PPL you need to write the PSTAR exam ( Improved PSTAR Study Guide - Robyn's Flying Start (http://www.flyingstart.ca/FlightTraining/PSTAR/PSTARIndex.htm) ) and get a Canadian aviation medical then go to the nearest TC office with your logbook and they will issue you with a Canadian PPL based on your foreign licence.

After that, I would recommend going to a flight school and having a few rides with an instructor so that you get the feel of the way things are done here.

Then go for it! Build your time, get a CPL and MIR and get a bush job in Canada's north, if that's what you want.

Cheers!
