Hello.

Since it seems I might get hired by an Irish operator so I am thinking about converting my Swedish CPL certificate to an Irish..

I have been told that since I have the frozen ATPL theory and i do have way above the requirement hours to get this, I will automaticly get the ATPL instead of the CPL..

Is there anyone that can confirm this ??

Will you be undergoing an ATPL skill test?

Hi Curtis.

I am not sure if I have to do a ATPL skill test. I have heard that if you meet the requirements regarding the hours, then you can just do it when you have normal PC in the simulator with your company.

It will need to be an LST and there are rules regarding giving notice to the IAA to attend the session. In addition to the normal OPC requirements you will need to fly a raw data ILS. I would get onto your new employer and get the ball rolling so that any notice periods are complied with.
