Hi All,

I wonder does anyone have any insider knowledge of when the next programme will be starting, seems like they keep new cycles quite a secret! 2010 was the last one so I hope they will be starting a new cycle this year.

To the best of my knowledge the IAA was told to cut its costs by the Commission on Aviation regulation and is doing this by not replacing some current staff as they retire.

So I dont know when they are likely to start recruiting again.

If you want you can register your details with IAA HR.
Application - Irish Aviation Authority (http://www.iaa.ie/index.jsp?p=148&n=150)
hope this helps

At present IAA is reducing the number of ATCO's by simply not replacing people as they retire on a one for one basis.

This is a cost saving measure due to the traffic downturn and ecnomic regulation from the Commission of Aviation regulation who has also told them to cut charges.

Future recruitment ? no idea.

you can register interest with HR via the IAA website

Careers - Irish Aviation Authority (http://www.iaa.ie/index.jsp?p=108&n=157)

Hope this helps.
