Ref the things location, I wonder if it's ex Aberporth? Although I wouldn't have thought it was a spare/training round - or did they re-arm at the airfield? Wouldn't have thought the runway was long enough for a Lightning or whatever.

Given that it's a cut-away, I suspect it was a teaching aid. That would make it quite an attractive item - to the right people.

When i did my RTFS (Red Top Firestreak) course at at Newton it was there. I don't think there would be another cutaway around, it would have cost a fortune to produce.

There are two cutaway perhaps three! Firestreaks next to the lightning at the RAF museum Hendon
