Hi Guys/Gals..

I wondered if you could assist me with a project that I am currently working on.

I would like to get some data on the fuel useage of a B737-900ER on a 3200NM
flight.

TOW 76000 KGs
ISA conditions
1013 Hpa
+15 deg C
Still wind
Crew 2/5
DOW 42.2
Payload 6.2
Fuel 23.5

I would like to get the fuel burn, and ramp fuel requirements.:confused:
Alternate fuel, airport 30 mins away
Cont fuel based on 5%
and Final Reserve fuel 30 mins hold at 1500' sea level

Data for the B737NG -800/-700 would also be very helpful

Thank you very much for your time

Don't think you'll do it without aux tank/s fitted. Which will give a higher empty weight as well.

Hi Cpt. Birdspeed,

This is a fast calculation I made, base on your data:

DOW * * * * * * * * * *42,2
PAY LOAD * * * * * * *6,2
1013/ isa +15*
Crew 2/5
3200 nm

ALTERNATE
30 min
Hold at 1500' for 30'

Plus contingency 5%

Here my calculation

* *CLIMB

FL 360 ( almost optimum 360/370)
.78/280/250
28'
Fuel 2275kg
174nm

* *DESCEND

FL360
.78/280/250
25'
340kg
118nm

* * CRUISE

FL360
.793 long range cruise
3200nm -174-124 = 2902nm
Fuel req *17200kg
FF 1284 + 4.5% * 2 = 2683 kg/h
FT 6:30(around)

* *HOLD

960kg

* *ALTERNATE

FT 30'*

10000ft. Cruise

877 kg

TOTAL FUEL

21527kg +5% = 22603kg

TOW * *71003kg

Still have room for payload:ok:

I hope to help you with this data.. It maybe be not precise at 100%, feel free to correct if any error,if any I'm so sorry but I'm flying too much :ugh:

Take care and happy landings!
