For those with an interest in such things, the next big thing introduced with the help of EASA are the Standardised European Rules of the Air. The first bit has now been published. (http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=OJ:L:2012:281:0001:0066:EN:PDF)
Stretching to some 66 pages, it's hardly bedtime reading but most of it is going to be familiar because it's drawn largely from ICAO. Amongst other things, it sets common Differences from ICAO which all EU States must now notify, whilst withdrawing their 'own' old ones. It all happens on 4th December although States can put it off for two years if they can think of good reasons.
