The 25 represents the IAE 2500 series engine. The second pair of numbers denotes the thrust in thousands of pounds. 2523 for an A319, 2527 for an A320 and 2533 for an A321.

Thanks, and if it's the series V2527A5, what does the V and the A5 stand for? Is there any link where I can get the codes, have searched and searched with no luck.
