Just a reminder that we may have the Olympic closing ceremony this weekend but the prime airspace restrictions remain in place until 00.01 on 16/8 (local) when they are replaced by the Paralympic restrictions. These are significantly smaller but they do bring restrictions to some new venues such as Brands Hatch. Details here: Main Olympics airspace restrictions coming to an end on 15/16 August, but some restrictions remain (http://olympics.airspacesafety.com/news/main-olympics-airspace-restrictions-coming-to-an-end-on-1516-august,-but-some-restrictions-remain)

Also, with the weather improvement Atlas is going to be busy this weekend so please allow as much time as possible for flight plan approval.

That's good news and the smaller Zone will help some of the local airfields and business's that have been effected.

Atlas Control closes down at midnight tonight and R112 is disestablished, by which time all CAS(T) will also be disestablished . Unfortunately the WOD-OCK corridor will revert to being class A airspace.
There is a proviso that in addition to P114 and the two RA(T)s inside the Heathrow Zone, something resembling R112 may be re-established at any time if the government feel a 'need' exists..
