IMC training in own aircraft

Hi,

Does anyone know if i can hire an instructor and complete my IMC training in my own aircraft?

If it is possible is this planned to change anytime soon? I think i might have read that under EASA training has to be completed by an 'approved provider' or something like that.

Short of it is - yes - although there are approvals to get.

Yes, and the IMCR is even easier than the CPL or the IR because an IMCR can be done at any PPL school.

I did my IMCR in my TB20 in 2002, and the JAA IR in 2011/12. Plus some FAA stuff in between.

I think i might have read that under EASA training has to be completed by an 'approved provider' or something like that.That is correct but as the IMCR is not an EASA qualification, it is unaffected.
