Does anyone know of a study or link what it costs an airline in having dirty aircraft and the additional fuel costs due to extra drag on a A 320 ?

Thanks

Airbus: Getting to Grips With Aerodynamic Deteriorations, pm me if you cannot find a copy, Page 16 suggests:

Surface deterioration can lead to significant fuel penalties, especially if the skin is rough or dirty. For a complete aircraft - in the worst case - the penalty can be as high as US$ 60,000 per aircraft per year. Another serious penalty would certainly be on the airline's commercial image!

So what's the cost of cleaning up and repainting a rough and
dirty old leaky 320 versus the annual cost of additional drag?

If its less than 60 grand it might be worth it then.
