Hello all,

Looking to sap up some knowledge here; I need to charter a large jet (ideally a330/40, maybe 747) to fly full from London to Dominican Republic and then back again a week later.

Any contacts, recommended brokers or operators, tips or tricks?

Cheers!

Dunno about brokers, but airlines that do operate aircraft of that type sometimes are able to do those flights even adhoc. I know for a fact that especially airlines with either a large charter/vacation section or pure warm water services usually have their own adhoc charter departments.

What's your budget?

A330 will be around £250k, A340/B747 will be closer to £375-400k.

Yup, that's about what I was expecting to pay actually. A330 is probably ideal. Any thoughts on operator?

Depends when you want to go I guess.

Monarch and Thomas Cook the obvious UK based, however if you are talking peak season you might struggle.

Corsair may have some availability as well.

BTW - are you selling tickets or giving them away as you'll need ATOL if taking any form of monies from anyone, even for the taxes.

Atlas now does passenger charters in 747 and 767.
