Good morning,

I'm looking at starting a Pilots Companion Course as at this time, I am not able to financially afford either a NPPL or JAR FCL PPL.

I'm looking at purchasing my own Pooleys PH2000 headset and was just wondering what people though about it.

Thanks for your help.

I don't know it, but if you want a good budget headset I have used a budget Harry Mendelsson HM40 (HM40 Headset (http://www.gps.co.uk/Headsets/HM-Series/HM40-Headset/p-95-224-790/)) for about a dozen years, and whilst not quite good-as-new any more, it still works fine, is comfortable, with good noise attenuation. About the same price as the Pooleys.

The other "bargain" option is eBay of-course. An old but serviceable pair of David Clarks are generally a good buy.

N.B. If you want to fly but can't afford an NPPL(SSEA) have a look at an NPPL(M).

Our CFI used Harry Mendelssons so they must be OK.

I'll second the HM-40
