Pilots flying under the exemption of ORS4 No.865, (which permits the use of a Medical Declaration with a non-NPPL pilot licence when flying SSEA, SLMG and/or Microlight aeroplanes) should note that this exemption has now been re-issued as ORS4 No.887: http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/ORS4_887.pdf .

Note that it has only been extended until 30 June 2012.

I suspect that:

For UK PPL holders an exemption to the ANO will apply.
For part-FCL PPL holders an exemption under EASA Aircrew Regulation 14(4) will apply.

Regulation 14(4) exemptions can only apply for an agreed period, which I suspect will be used as the ultimate end date for all such 'ORS4 No.887' exemptions and pilots will therafter be required to obtain an LAPL(A).
