To continue the "have I missed something?" line of thought: a 734 with no eyebrow windows?

At this stage just one and it will be based in PH and operated by Airwork for Alliance.

It looks like Alliance will become a force to be reckoned with and stitch up the FIFO market!

I wouldn't say is just yet.

Their hand was forced after the rumours of Network and 737-400s started.

Network will become a big player and hopefully it distracts the main players in the group for long enough, so the underlings can get the main part of the ship back on course.

Hugh Jones - Managing Director and majority shareholder of Airwork (NZ) Ltd
Hugh Jones - Alliance Airlines (non executive Director),Shareholder.

Says it all guys.

Everyone knows that Fortescue is up for grabs, Skywest on an extension.

More pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

The 737 is on a 6 month lease to do the Karratha run while the Fokkers are in heavy maintenance.

Stitch up the market? With one 737? Watch out world, a NZ rego'd clapped out 73 is coming. Might have to hand over the AOC before its too late.

One 73 plus 20 odd F100 / 70's and 5 F50's. I think they have a large portion of the market FIFO and Jet charter market.

they'd better stop being so high and mighty in ther talks with VA, cause as they well know they will be eaten up by the network/qf juggernaut in years to come if they don't join the alternative borg :E

The fuse aft of the wing looks like a golf ball :uhoh:.....is it an old wreck of a machine?

I've seen that on a lot of Classic 737's, even new ones. ( back when they were new anyway!! )

Quite normal for the age of the b737, it's the skin wrinkling from pressure and landing cycles, theres a limit in the S.R.M for really deep wrinkles which then get repaired, even saw it once on a b52 at Avalon just before the wing.

It was termed "oil canning" by Boeing and they rolled off the line looking like that. Some appeared worse than others.

-400's aren't suitable for freighter conversion. Probably due to the dimples on their ar$e.:ok:

Better not tell that to the 400 freighter sitting at Brisbane, it will think they cut a hole in its side for nothing :)

-400's aren't suitable for freighter conversion.

sorry, aveng, that's wrong. Plenty of -400's converted to 734SF. In fact, Toll/Airwork won't have to cut a hole in the -400 in PER, they have had a -400SF in AKL for months now.
