Seems ok if you access FLYER Forums • Index page (http://forums.flyer.co.uk)
If you go to www.flyer.co.uk (http://www.flyer.co.uk) then you get the web server error

Had me worried for a mo... a thread started by me that I don't recall starting as I havn't been on that site for many months and don't intend to return while one or two deeply unpleasant 'characters' remain.
Then I saw it was 2012 not 2013. Phew!

(Reverting to the attitude of a 5 year old as I near 65)
Oh, go on, name names. Maybe a little clue?

Still down at 19.30

I see the innocuous thread relating to the Flyer Forum's current disappearance has been PPRuNed, while the thread relating to another aviation magazine continues to run.
Does anybody get 'Fedora Core Test Page' when trying to log in to Flyer Forum?
Or have I got a bug?

The thread on Pilot magazine is actually discussing it, not simply asking "is it up?"

E mail from an admin says routine maintenance is taxing the server, and in that state it locks users out.
Normal service will be resumed as soon an possible....

The last one to leave or banned has probably just left and turned the light out.
All the main characters have long since left.

So it's kind of like standing in one restaurant, stating to the diners that you're standing there, because the service is slow in the one next door....
Which restaurant is providing the service you would like? It's hard to eat your meal in both at the same time!

I believe the term you seek is "flounced off". Of course, they will probably be on the other other forum......

Umm. Think more get banned than flounces??? We need the statistics.
..........anyway, the Vicar over on Flyer implies that they are currently under attack and making slow advances.
Which vicar's that, then?
Flounces: not many, but they don't 'arf make a lot of noise when they go.
Bans: very, very few. I can only think of four over the past ten years or so.
(That doesn't include spammers, who never get as far as the visible forum before being donked).
