Hello Colleagues,

I have a quick question regarding ILS mandatory altitudes whilst on rv. When cleared to descend to 4000ft and being vectored for an ILS to intercept the loc between two points, one being the usual glideslope intercept altitude of 4000ft(FAF) and the other being a point which has a mandatory alt restriction of 4000ft 6nm before the FAF, therfore 6nm of level flight. Would you expect the a/c to be level at 4000ft before intercepting the loc? It was agrued to me that it would be good airmanship to descend to 4000ft before intercepting the loc as there is another parallel RW and a/c are being vectored for it. What are your views on this matter. Are there any websites that would help with this type of question?
