I've come over all nostalgic.

Is there any way one can safely load "Johnny Castaway" in Windows 7 (64 bit), please? FWIW, I am using Google Chrome.

Thanks in advance for any responses!

Never heard of it before, but if it's the one described on this page (http://web.onetel.com/%7Egnudawn/johnny/), it will not work on a 64-bit OS. I just tried the "Vista" version, and can confirm that. I did the following:
- copied the SCR file to the Windows directory;
- in Screensaver settings, select "Screen Antics", then "Preview"
- error: "The version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running".

I tried various compatibility options, but no go. (A SCR file is actually an EXE file, internally, you can rename it and run it directly with specific command line arguments (http://www.wischik.com/scr/howtoscr.html#CommandLineArguments).)

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Thank you, BNT, Milo Minderbinder (I am still eating your chocolate covered cotton, BTW!), and Taxi Dual for your kind responses.

Not quite what I had hoped to read, but much appreciated nevertheless.
