Hello everyone,

I am in the Police in London and after a hard day at work (it does happen honest) I would like to get away from it all in the skies above. I am very much interested in obtaining my PPL but there are so many flying schools in England, I am not sure which is the best one! Ideally, I would like to do the PPL in one go. Anyone know the best flying school in the south/southeast/southwest?

I know this question has been asked many times, so appreciate your guidance.

Thanks

Boywallop

There are many a plod who have proved pigs can fly.

Go for it, in my experience teaching Police to fly is both enjoyable and very amusing.

I think you can also have access to RAF/MOD clubs as well. All of them are pretty decent.

THe BA club isn't cheap but you won't go wrong with them. ( I might add thats from word of mouth)

As you give you location as Hitchin, pop up the road to the Henlow Flying Club, have a chat and see how you like it.

Stapleford Flight Centre is a good bet for one stop modular in my opinion. Did my CPL/IR there and had a great time.:ok:

I'm currently doing my PPL at Stapleford and would recommend them to anyone. Good availability and instructors, nice place as well with a decent club house. Would suggest giving them a visit and having a trial lesson. http://www.flysfc.com/
