Can't remember if there's an approach there at all. From what I recall from flying that area for 4 yrs, the approaches only got you down to 400-500'. Bad weather simply means nobody is getting in to those places on those days. They're not going to have a cat 3 ILS anytime soon.

My condolences to the families and friends of the victims.

From what has been discussed on another forum, there is no approach there, but the accident occured about a mile and a half out on the extended centerline.
People are suggesting a GPS in OBS mode.

i still dont have full details on how and what happened but Transport Canada are still investigating probably, the pilot was a dear friend of mine i dont know his full name but everyone around used to call him FARI he has worked as an Flight Instructor where i learned my flying in winnipeg.
