Having flown in the A380 (2 sectors) a few days ago for the first time, I did notice a diferent behavior of Ground Spoilers.

After landing, after retracting the ground spoilers, they remain with a slight upward deflection. They retract fully, after engines are shutdown.

It happened on both flights. Anyone knows why?

Happy New Year!

The spoilers deflect upwards slightly whilst the flaps are moving so they don't rub. Although there are rub strips like most other aircraft, the spoilers are programmed to do this to minimise the wear.

Interesting and true, the spoilers had a slight upward deflection while flaps were moving, but kept it until the aircraft reached the gate and engines were shutdown...
