Hucknall are open as an option.

Airfield details at Home (http://www.merlinflyingclub.co.uk/)

Food is available at the nearby Queens Head (a regular haunt of Hucknall flyers). Pub details at http://thequeensheadwatnall.co.uk/ . The pub is a 5 minute taxi ride away.

You could land at Booker, but won't get lunch because the cafe went out of business a few months ago.

We at Old Sarum will be open 10:00 to 16:00, would be great to see some new faces and aircraft. The usual rabble are welcome too! We are open Sunday and Monday 10:00 to 16:00 and back to 'normal' on Tuesday

Leicester is open all day on New Year's Eve, club restaurant is open. Also open on New Year's Day. In fact, they're only unmanned for one day a year; Christmas Day. Looks pretty breezy all weekend though. Fortunately lots of runways to choose from!

Sturgate.
Walk/cycle/get a lift to the Upton chippy and have coal fired, lard dripping fish and chips. Their curry sauce is to die for.

If you're willing to push back a day, Compton Abbas usually have a good fly in on the 1st. Usually worth a visit, last I heard it was on again this year.

I wish I had known Dunkeswell was open today. I tried phoning the Ops number on the web a few times yesterday and the day before to check but got no reply.
