I have a simple question about pilots and their society grade in the next years.....

WITH REGARD TO NEW COCKPITE DESIGNS AND

COMPUTERIZATION OF THE NEW AIRPLANES I THINK THAT PILOTING

JOB LOSS THIS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL GRADE IN THE

SOCIETY!!!

IN LAST YEARS PILOTING AND WORK AS A COCKPITE CREW WAS

VERY HARD AND MORE COMPLEX BUT TODAY A 787 PILOT OR

A.340 PILOT IS AN OBSERVER AND COMPUTER OPERATOR AND

GLOSS COCKPITES MAKE THE FLIGHT VERY VERY EASY AND THE

RESULT IS THAT PILOTING AND BEING IN THE AIRPLANE

COCKPITE IS NOT A DREAM FOR BOYS IN THEIR NIGHTS ...

IN MY OPINION WITH MODERNISM OF THE FLIGHT PILOTING IS NOT

HARD AND PILOTS JOB IS NOT AN IMPORTANT AND A HIGH CLASS

JOB BETWEEN PEOPLE....!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS ARE YOU AGREE WITH ME?!!

I DISAGREE AND WOULD LIKE TO RAISE THE POINT
THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT DUTY OF ANY PILOT
HAS ALWAYS BEEN MANAGEMENT AND NOT JUST
FLYING THE PLANE FROM A TO B.
AS FOR THE SOCIAL STATUS OF PILOTS THE PROFESSION
HAS LOST MOST OF ITS GLAMOUR ALREADY YEARS AGO
AT LEAST IN THE WESTERN WORLD

Please don't just copy stuff from other sources in capitals, adding colour only adds to the eye sore... What exactly is your question? Is this a tech topic? ;) Welcome to the forums anyhow!

High class job? Probably not but who cares? I think you do that do because of you, you want to fly and shouldn't care about what others think. But well, I know some people to do that to be someone as well as I know people who think: "wow pilot".

Being a professional pilot is still hard job. My friend, A320 cpt, former cpt B737 and Tu-154, said it's just different. Maybe the flying itself is simpler with A/P, FMS but as everything is better so why not to fly faster, more closer, in worse conditions, with less fuel and all the cabin recorders reporting you for everything which none would even noticed some time ago. Not easy and really stressful, different stress then many years ago but it's still there.
