Does anyone have any links to a Dash 8 100 or 300 Type Course CBT either online or Torrent?

Cheers,

avsoft produce one for the 300 and 400... not free and not cheap but has what you need to know. If it is for either operator of the 1/300 in australia then be assured that you will learn all you need to know on the course that they offer the extra money for the CBT can be overkill considering the amount of paper notes you will have.

Incase you need a link Avsoft, Inc. | Dash 8Q-300 with -100 Differences Aircraft Systems CBT & WBT (http://www.avsoft.com/index.php?q=node/59)

Thanks Startingout.

I saw the Avsoft site and had a look at the demo. Looks good but I am just trying to get a head start on my upcoming ground school. I am sure I will get lots of books etc to read then.

The Smartcockpit link is great thanks SDT.

Still looking for a good (free?) panel poster to download.

Where are you doing your sim training? the ansett sim center have posters if you need them but they are lacking as it is just a photo of the dash sim put onto a A2 sheet of paper... it works but if you can a group named training crue make a good one for the 300 with fuel gauges in pounds. Dependent on the company your going to be with they might have the gauges in kg in the 100 but it will not make much of a difference on paper cockpits.

As far as free goes, there is possibly one in the Smartcockpit stuff that you could upsize and print out.

Thanks Startingout.

I managed to source a loan of a large size cockpit poster / procedure trainier today.

Cheers for all your advice mate.

Zanthrus, if your course is being run by Eastern, you have nothing to worry about. The ground school will be thorough enough without the need for CBT. :ok:
