Unusual request I know but can anyone recall the title of a 1950's British movie starring John Gregson which involved a DH Vampire squadron whose base airfield was very close to a bird sanctuary..(or something along those lines?). I saw only part of this film many years ago and hope to watch it again some day....more for the rare Vampire sequences than anything else!

That's got to be it! The title actually sounds slightly familiar too although it is probably over 25 years since I saw the film.
