View Full Version : Watch failure??

Mrs Wombat asks: Why does my watch always go wrong after crossing the pond and coming back again? - what's involved in flying that upsets electronic watches? (We understand the relativistic effects involved, but that's not what's happening; her watch stops for an hour or three per night after a hop across the pond, at which point she goes out and buys a new one, which goes wrong similarly on the next trip.)

Suggest a Breitling mechanical type, looks good too!!

Wombat,

Are you sure it's not just an excuse for her to keep buying new watches? :)

So during those three hours there is no real time and things are not really happening and you really couldn't be blamed. Time for some serious abuse, I'd say.
