If anyone can the recall the ‘gotchas’ from their command assessment, successful or otherwise I would love to read it.
What combinations of failures were thrown at you? What was the correct action?
Particularly interested in A320 stuff but anything relevant will do.

Cheating?
Perhaps, but I guess I’m showing good command potential by gathering all available information.

1)Don't rush, and try to think ahead. Never let the airplane take you somewhere your brain didn't get to five minutes earlier.(easier said than done).
2)Get as much input from your F/O as you can.
At this stage (if your changing type also) he'll probably have more experience on the A/C than you do.
3)DO NOT be suckered by "ATC" into going below MSA/SSA unless you are very sure of your position or on an approved instrument approach. When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. no one has ever collided with the sky.
4)In reference to above what they are looking for is that you are safe and that you will bring the A/C back in one piece :), all the other command stuff comes largely with experience.
5)Read no. 3.
6)Read no. 3 again.

I maybe teaching granny to suck eggs, but these bits of advice helped me.

Good luck! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/cool.gif
(Let us know how you got on)
