Hello, me again.

Just wondering about cabin pressurisation. Just seen a thread in the tech bit and thought this might be the place to put a question down.

Basically, as far as I know, cabin pressure is 8000ft ish during the cruise yeah? And if it gets about 12,000ft, donīt the oxygen masks pop out?

During the descent, the cabin altitude is reduced to eventually equal the altitude of the airport right?

Now, La Paz is 13,500 ft above sea level or something isnīt it? How does that work? How do you equal the pressure in the cabin with that outside without everything going pear shaped and red lights flashing on and off in the flight deck?

Any help would be very useful!
