In short, I hold a Canadian ATPL, 3500h, am rated on B727, am married to a British Citizen (who would like to live back home)...

What needs to be done for a licence conversion... where do I start?

Ideas, web links, message threads, professional recommendations, anything.

Thanks

Once she registers as a resident of the UK again, you become entitled to live and work there. Check out www.firstvisa.co.uk (http://www.firstvisa.co.uk) they have all the info. Ask for Michael Aspell.

Licence conversion requires that you hold a valid ICAO ATPL, have at least 1500 hours as Pilot in Command of an aircraft weighing more than 30 tons (or 1500 hours as Pilot in command, or 3000 hours as Second in Command, a JAR25 Aircraft if the Brits have updated the requirements in accordance with JAR-FCL 1.005 as ammended). Check out www.jaa.nl (http://www.jaa.nl) and find your way to the above rule. Also contact the UK CAA at www.caa.co.uk (http://www.caa.co.uk) & Good Luck! ;)
