Use the Hotel gym or go for swim if you are feeling energetic, or you can stay in your room and watch the superb pay TV as they have in most good hotels. :)

Depends upon situation.
If in sun-soaked tourist destination - ogle young unattached females in restaurent/disco/pool.
If in sun-soaked tourist destination, but no young unattached females - concentrate on getting a decent tan ready for next attempt at option 1.
If in miserable wet non-tourist destination -depends upon FA situation and I'm sure you can guess the rest.
If in miserable wet non-tourist destination with no decent FA prospects - presumably start on that distance learning degree course which you always promised yourself.
(course if you have a laptop there's always pprune)
