Just tried your website Mr O'Leery. Couldn't find a flight for less than £150 return. Is it me, or do you talk the talk yet your walk is with a limp?

Funny that, I just looked for a ticket on my usual route, STN-PIK and the first random search I did came up with this...

Date: Wed 14 November 2001
Choice: 9 flights
Cost: Any flight £2.49 sterling

Date: Tuesday 20 November 2001
Choice: 9 flights
Cost: All flights priced at £2.49 sterling

Then add tax at £16.10.

GRAND TOTAL: £21.08 rtn. :D

I think you might need to take another look!

PS: I don't know why you posted on this on R+N, I'd hardly call it a rumour, indeed, my post is fact! And News?...... no. The low-cost airline bashers are OLD news.

Enjoy flying with a traditional carrier, and enjoy the on-board meal you pay over £100 for!

Stick your glasses on matey! I've been BHX-DUB a few times for £1 each way + tax, making a total of about £20-25 return. Superb service, no messing about.
Even checking the flight prices yeaterday, I found £25 return BHX-DUB, in spite of all thats happened over the last month! These prices even include some compulsory insurance or whatever it is!
Good luck to Ryanair, hope they expand their services in the near future.

I do not have a problem with low cost airlines but could somebody please explain the economics? Selling seats for such ludicrously low prices must mean that it is costing the airline to carry that passenger.

Well I'; ve no doubt the Fares quoted exist but mostly on routes lets be honest who travels on them ??

Last night I tried Ryanair for 27 Dec expecting a low time for travel
from both LGW AND BHX to Dub returning on 1st Jan

Fares flights only no charges added
LGW 40 ONE WAY
BHX 60 ONE WAY

I can get cheaper with Aer Lingus (assuming their still operating then)
and BMI from LHR

When you open their website it tells you all these low deals ok fair enough
but that was just a search last night

A long way off 1 pound as it quotes
I think i'll stick with a quantity that can be depended on some people have all their lives to spend browsing for fares

but still more people go to work and dont have to facility to browse for ever

but i'll remember Aarhus should I ever need it

Last thursday I flew from PIK to STN for 49p (+ taxes). I booked only a week earlier. 10W did the return flight on friday. So, the cheap tickets are certainly there!

Hmmm, no one actually, Ryanair flies the aircraft empty cos they like pissing money away to let the pilots make some practice approaches into Aarhus. Lets them build their hours without any nasty SLF to deal with. Generous airline ;)

Try looking around for the fares: I flew DUB - CRL for 3 quid return.

I commuted with Ryanair for a year, did not pay the same price twice, and did not see any logic in their prices, which was about £3-£100 round trip, plus tax.

The lowest prices gives people unrealistic expectations, and probably does more harm than good.
